uplifting our communities
The Carter’s Charitable Foundation is our corporate philanthropic program, and it focuses on supporting children’s health and well-being, with an emphasis on early childhood education and literacy. We support access to early childhood education in many ways, including, but not limited to, book donations and partnering with organizations to create and sponsor learning and reading materials. Through our philanthropic efforts of charitable giving, product donations, and volunteer efforts, we aim to support diverse groups of children and families in raising future generations.
In partnership with our employees and customers, our three-pronged approach includes:
company giving
The Company provides product and in-kind donations, while Carter’s Charitable Foundation, Inc. provides financial support to various charitable partners. In 2025, we donated almost 700,000 units of baby and children’s apparel to our product donation partners, operating throughout the U.S. This supports our landfill diversion efforts through reuse, while allowing us to support communities in need.
employee giving
Each year, eligible full-time U.S. and Canadian employees can take advantage of 16 hours of paid volunteer time and $500 in gift-matching for qualifying donations. Starting in 2024, each U.S. and Canadian retail store was provided 16 paid volunteer hours for store employees to share.
customer giving
We engage with our customers to involve them in our charitable efforts through retail campaigns such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Beyond Bedtime, formerly known as the Pajama Program.
We are actively advancing our community impact efforts with an approach that combines global reach and local engagement. Our strategy focuses on creating meaningful change through strategic partnerships and targeted community investments.

global reach with local impact
Our strategy centers on creating meaningful impact at both the global and local levels.
In 2025, we deepened our transformative multi-year partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs, to support early childhood education and literacy. This partnership exemplifies our strategy, as nearly all of our national retail locations are within a few miles to a Boys & Girls Club, and focuses on two key initiatives:
- Expanding Club access for children ages 0-5 through the creation of early childhood development resources
- Developing new summer education curriculum focused on literacy for children ages 6–9
cultural celebration through service
In 2025, we continued to bridge global cultural holidays and heritage months with employee volunteer opportunities. The initiative was led by ambassadors from our employee Diversity and Inclusion Council and strengthened connections between those observances and community impact, engaging employees in service projects that directly support multicultural communities.
One example of this is we created educational kits for an organization called Communities in Schools during Black History Month and read books focused on Asian heritage in classrooms with the Quality Care for Children organization during AAPI/Asian Heritage Month, among other activities. These initiatives reflect our commitment to support and uplift the communities we celebrate.
To deepen employee awareness and understanding, we also provided educational content on our internal communication platforms, offering the opportunity for employees to learn more about the significance of each cultural holiday we celebrated.
